SINGLE PAGES / MANUSCRIPT PREPARATION
Prepare coloring pages for KDP
CleanLine can create or trace one coloring page at a time. It is not a bound book generator and does not export a KDP-ready manuscript, a cover or a compliance guarantee. Use this guide to plan the additional assembly, rights review and print checks needed before considering a self-published coloring book.
What a coloring book generator for KDP still needs
Start by deciding what the reader will actually do with the book. Choose a coherent subject and list the activities before making illustrations. Record each source file, its permission status and the output you intend to use. Similar page shapes alone do not establish a consistent collection: inspect detail density, margins, spelling and repeated elements separately.
Download PNG or a single-page PDF from the current tool, then assemble permitted material in a separate layout application. Decide where title matter, instructions and intentional blank pages belong. The existing book planning guide explains a home assembly workflow; it does not replace a commercial manuscript process. Prepared printable SVGs on this site are offered for personal or classroom use, not resale, so do not treat those downloads as a commercial KDP art library.
Choose the layout before assembling the files
KDP describes an interior manuscript and a separate cover file. Its current paperback formatting guide explains that distinction. The image tool’s paper-shape selector is not a setting for your eventual trim size, gutter or cover spine. Set those choices in the application where you assemble the book.
Use KDP’s trim size, bleed and margin guidance for your chosen format and final page count. Decide whether artwork reaches the trimmed edge or remains inside a white margin. Keep important outlines away from the binding area, and review pages on both sides of a spread. Do not apply one remembered margin value to every format.
Open each downloaded image and compare its proportions with the intended layout. Scaling a raster outline may make small defects more visible; a PDF wrapper does not create additional image detail. Save an editable layout copy so corrections do not depend on recreating every page from scratch. Check each inserted illustration for unwanted marks before exporting the combined manuscript.
Review rights, export and the physical result
KDP’s content guidelines require disclosure of AI-generated text, images or translations in the relevant publishing workflow. Review the current policy yourself and classify your actual material honestly. The use of an AI tool is not permission to use another person’s photograph, a protected character or artwork you found online.
Follow the current manuscript file guidance when exporting from your layout program, and inspect the upload in KDP’s own preview process. CleanLine does not submit your book, validate its file against KDP rules or predict approval. We have not tested a physical printer. A digital preview cannot establish paper quality, usable coloring space near the gutter or how a pen behaves on the printed stock.
Before selling a book, review an actual proof produced for your selected format. Keep a correction list for clipped lines, small spaces, page order and instructions. These are practical review steps, not a legal opinion or a promise that a manuscript is compliant. Official requirements may change; the source links above were consulted on October 4, 2026.
FAQ
Can CleanLine make a whole KDP book automatically?
No. The current generator exports one page at a time. Assembly, cover design, publishing and approval happen outside this tool.
Is a downloaded PDF already a KDP manuscript?
No. It is a single-page result. A finished manuscript needs its own layout, page sequence and review against the current publishing requirements.
Can I sell the prepared printable collections?
The prepared SVG downloads on this site are for personal and classroom activities, not resale or commercial repackaging.
Does this guide guarantee approval?
No. KDP controls review and publishing, and you remain responsible for your material, permissions and final files.
Create a single page in the generator, then review and assemble only material you are entitled to publish.
